2013 Awards ceremony held in Sydney on January 28, 2013.

Winner Best Documentary at 2012 Walkley Awards

 

At the 2012 Walkley Awards held at Parliament House Canberra on 30 November 2012, TTWC won the Best Documentary Award.

Walkley Documentary Award judges said Then The Wind Changed is an exceptional documentary due to its originality, impact and public benefit.

SBS TV on Friday 30 November at 9:40 pm.

Australian Director’s Guild Nomination

Then The Wind Changed has been nominated for Best Stand Alone Documentary at the 2012 Australian Director’s Guild Awards

ATOM Study Guide Now available

Then The Wind Changed has the capacity to be used as an engaging educational tool in a wide variety of contexts.

This THEN THE WIND CHANGED ATOM STUDY GUIDE has been written for secondary students at all levels and is available for free download.

Activities have been designed to educate students about the occurrence and impact of bushfires and to develop students’ empathy with and understanding of the experience of the trauma and social upheaval that bushfires cause. Students are encouraged to consider how people’s responses to crisis may differ and to respect the courage and determination that it takes to overcome adversity.

 

Selected to IDFA

Then the Wind Changed has been selected for the 24th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, which will take place from November 16 – 27 2011. The film will be in Competition at IDFA for Mid-Length Documentary.

 

 

Australian Premiere

Over 300 people connected to the Strathewen community, friends and family attended this powerful screening of Then The Wind Changed at ACMI followed by a party at the ACMI Lounge, Federation Square Melbourne.
